Global Public Health

Overview

The major in global public health trains students to understand the art and science of preventing disease and promoting population health. Students will learn about infectious diseases, chronic diseases, the risk and protective factors that impact health as well as developing and evaluating health-related programs.

This interdisciplinary major provides students with the skills and competencies to work in a wide variety of industries in the health arena including governmental agencies, for-profit and non-profit organizations at the local, city, state, national and international levels.
