Placement Policy

All students entering Concordia for the first time who do not have transfer credits for college level English or Math, will be placed in courses based on the English (reading & writing) and Math portions of the SAT or ACT.

In order to ensure student success at Concordia University Texas, we use a freshman's ACT or SAT score to place them in the correct level Math and English courses. Below, please find the placement exam policy, as well as study tips and practice questions. If a student wishes to challenge his/her placement on a particular portion of the test, or does not have ACT or SAT scores, it is University policy that the student take the corresponding Accuplacer Test.

If you have any questions or would like to take the Accuplacer for placement, please contact your admissions counselor. If you are not sure who your admissions counselor is, please contact the Office of Admissions at 512-313-4CTX or admissions@concordia.edu.
