Local truck convoy could complicate

Travel plans for Homecoming weekend; Consider alternate routes to CTX

The City of Cedar Park has announced that Highway 183 from the Leander city limit to 620 will be closed on Friday morning for a period of about two hours while a truck convoy carrying large refrigeration units passes through.  From 183, the trucks will travel south on 620, causing additional delays.

Drivers are being alerted to plan travel accordingly.  With Concordia University's Homecoming and Family Weekend starting Friday afternoon, this could cause delays. See below for possible travel alternatives.

Traveling from the south:

Use highways 360, Mopac/Loop 1 and RM 2222. Entering 620 from RM 2222, you'll turn right (north) for a short distance to campus.

Traveling from the east:
Toll Road 45 West all the way to 620 will cross over Highway 183.  You could experience delays along 620, depending on the time of day traveled, but you'll avoid the intersection of 620 and 183.

From 183 South south of 620:
Exit for Anderson Mill, and head north to 620.  You could experience delays along 620, depending on the time of day traveled but you'll avoid the intersection of 620 and 183.
