Concordia's 'Rock the Vote' campaign

Article written by on Oct. 01, 2013

For the second year in a row, students in the American Popular Music classes at Concordia are holding a 'Rock the Vote' clinic to raise awareness about the importance of exercising voting rights in America and provide opportunities for the non-registered to become registered voters. Anyone interested in becoming a registered voter is invited to the event this week on campus. Stations will be set up from 11 am until 1:15 pm October 1 -3 in the cafeteria and on the covered walkways between buildings B and C and buildings C and D.

Students in the class were deputized by an official from the Travis County Tax Office last week to become volunteer Deputy Registrars.

Following this event, Concordia will serve as an early voting location. Any registered voter in Travis County can vote here on October 22. The mobile polling location will be open 9 am - 6 pm.

Anyone with questions about early voting eligibility can visit
