Concordia recently named its first building in honor of immediate past president, Dr. Tom Cedel, and made the announcement at its 8th annual Excellence in Leadership Gala on August 22, honoring Cedel. Building C has been renamed Cedel Hall, and a plaque will soon be displayed at the doorway entrance to the building. Building signage was installed earlier in August.
The idea to rename Building C in Dr. Cedel’s honor was student driven, which says a lot about his positive impact on the student body at Concordia. Building C was a special place to Dr. Cedel. The presidential suite is located there, along with nearly two dozen academic classrooms. Every student has walked through those halls and been impacted by their experiences there.
Cedel Hall is Concordia’s first named building, which begins a process of naming buildings for those who have had such a strong impact on Concordia’s history and future.
