Being an entrepreneur is more than just having an idea and working hard -- it is a way of thinking and how one lives their life. Management guru Peter Drucker once stated that "the best way to predict the future is to create it." Both Mark and Steve have been creators - and have built and sold multiple businesses to prove it. During this Speaker Series they will share their ideas on becoming entrepreneurial, how they have approached building businesses from their initial ideas, and what it takes for the entrepreneur to bring a concept to fruition and feel successful in the process.
MARK McCLAIN is the founder and CEO of SailPoint, a company that creates identity management software for large enterprises. He has been involved in several startups and has helped raise over $50M in venture capital. STEVE SEMELSBERGER serves as a consultant for both startups and emerging companies, has been involved himself in multiple startups that have focused on software and social media, and is an adjunct faculty in entrepreneurship at Concordia. Both Mark and Steve are Christ-followers, are actively involved with their churches and are committed husbands and fathers.
