Recruiting on Campus

Concordia University Texas sponsors at least two recruiting events each year to enable employers to meet and interview students for internships, full-time positions or part-time jobs. Please contact Career Services at 512.313.5041 or Joyce.Sinclair@concordia.edu for more information about these events and to reserve a table.

The Concordia University Texas Career Center strives to assist all students and alumni in discerning, developing and pursuing meaningful traditional and non-traditional career paths. We strive to do this in a caring and supportive student focused environment that sustains Concordia University’s mission to Develop Christian Leaders.

The Career Center invites employer organizations to use our services provided they meet the following basic criteria:

  • The organization must have actual or anticipated, career-related job or internship opportunities for our students and alumni.
  • The organization must accurately describe the responsibilities and requirements for the opportunities it offers in all publicity, including online job postings and information sessions.
  • All conditions for advertised positions must be clearly publicized in the position description. This includes, but is not limited to, positions that are commission based, involve out-of-pocket financial expenses, test taking, etc.
  • Employer organizations are expected to be familiar with and to honor the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Principles for Professional Conduct for Career Services and Employment Professionals revised in January 2008. Employer Guide to Electronic Job Board

We maintain an electronic job board for student positions. We reserve the right to review postings to ensure they meet with our vision and values.  Employers will receive an email notification of approval—typically on the same day, always within 48 hours (excluding weekends and holidays).  Once approved, our program allows participating employers to:

  • Visit one centralized online location to post and manage an unlimited number of jobs
  • Set parameters for job openings
  • Receive email reminders when a student applies for jobs or when a posting is about to expire
  • Register online for career fairs

The first step is to register on the employer site www.myinterfase.com/concordia-texas/employer.  After we receive postings electronically, we also use social media and campus bulletin boards to attract applicants for employers. Childcare Positions on the Job Board

Although they are also posted on the job board, childcare positions are now handled differently.  The first step in posting a childcare or nanny position is to click here and complete this brief questionnaire. We will then post the position for you under the childcare category as well as on campus bulletin boards.

Internships

Concordia University Texas strongly encourages students to acquire experiential learning and gives academic credit for a variety of internships.  We support the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) internship guidelines which can be found here.
