- How much is tuition?
For the 2012-2013 school year, tuition for courses in the M.Ed. program is $515 per semester hour. All courses are 3 semester credit hours.
- Is financial aid available?
Student loans are available.
Teachers in Lutheran Schools get a $505 discount off of each course taken.
- Can I take teacher certification courses at the graduate level?
Yes and No:
Professional development courses (teaching strategies, curriculum development, etc.) are taken at the graduate level and applied toward your M. Ed. degree.
Content area courses (math, history, science, etc) must be taken at the undergraduate level, as needed.
- When do the classes meet?
Classes meet in 8-week sessions.
Each course must meet for 32 clock hours. Courses have one class meeting per week, for four hours per night, 5:00-9:00p.
Two exceptions: Summer-2 session courses meet two nights per week in a 4-week session, and the capstone courses run for 16 weeks, one night per week.
- How long will it take to complete the M.Ed. program?
The program is completed in two (2) years, if the course sequence is followed as outlined.
