Concordia University Texas has received specialized accreditation for its business programs through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), located in Olathe, Kansas. Concordia's Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is accredited by the IACBE.
The College of Business (COB) faculty has approved revisions to the curriculum required of all BBA students. Beginning Fall 2013, the COB faculty has approved the addition of two new concentrations in the Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) degree program: Human Resource Management (HRM) and Entrepreneurship (ENT). The means that Concordia's College of Business offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with concentrations in six areas: Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, and Entrepreneurship. These are programs that work in conjunction with the university's requirements, providing students with a broad-based knowledge as well as developing an expertise in one's chosen field of study.
It is the purpose of the College of Business to offer a business curriculum grounded in a Christian worldview which integrates the business disciplines and which intentionally and consistently develops ethical decision making and leadership through theory, experience and vicarious learning. BBA students will be required to complete the Supporting Business Core classes: 42-45 common experience hours, 45-51 hours in the BBA major, and 21 hours in at least one concentration, as well as approximately 11 hours of electives to complete 128 total hours. Students will also be required to fulfill the identity requirements and experiential learning requirements of the common experience, a portion of which will be completed in conjunction with their BBA requirements.
