Overview

Receiving a BBA at Concordia University Texas will prepare you for success in multiple careers and industries, including starting your own business. Choosing one of our many concentrations will give you depth in a field of study as well as a broad understanding of the many aspects of business. With an emphasis on critical thinking and quantitative skills, graduates are also well-prepared for graduate study after they complete their degree.

Internships

All BBA students are required to complete an internship prior to graduation as part of their "launch" experience. Preparing students for their first job (or for advancement in their current job) is important to us, and an internship is one of the best ways to land that next job.

Concordia's Career Services will help you find your internship, whether that be with a company in Austin or one you find in your own hometown. All internships require 150 hours of work under a supervisor who mentors you and assesses your work.

Learning Environment

As a student in the BBA program, you will be engaged from your very first class to your last.  From Introduction to Business to your final Launch class, you will be:

  • working in teams
  • creating presentations
  • working with fellow students
  • encouraged to fully engage in the classroom

Our faculty are expert teachers AND professionals in their fields of study.  Most classes also invite guest speakers who come and share their learnings with you - and even offer to meet with students after class.

BBA graduates are always thankful for the experience they received here at Concordia in the College of Business. Many recall specific professors who impacted them by:

  • challenging them to think differently
  • taking time to counsel them on different job opportunities
  • giving them ways to apply what they've learned to real-life situations
  • taking them on trips to explore different businesses
  • sharing their faith and praying with them

When asked what they considered the best part about getting a BBA degree, one recent graduate stated,
"I could not be more thankful and appreciative of the mentorship, leadership, and guidance from the College of Business faculty in believing in me during this time of my life. Thank you so much for all the hard work you invested in me."
