Overview

This major will prepare you for a wide variety of careers in the rapidly expanding and rewarding field of managing and administering health care organizations and their delivery of health-related products and services. You will:

  • gain experience in critical thinking and decision making
  • develop your interpersonal skills
  • learn new technical skills

Should you so desire, the Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Administration is also an excellent preparation for graduate-level studies in business administration and healthcare administration!

 

Internships

You will participate in a semester-long internship/practicum designed to fit your career aspirations. It is a fourth-level capstone course, integrating the content of the Healthcare Administration courses leading to it. Its focus is on a major project of mutual interest to you as a student, and to the host facility located off-campus. The experience gained there and the networking that occurs can be quite useful in your career plans.
