Listen to a few clips from our recent concerts

The University Choir at Concordia University Texas is an auditioned ensemble of approximately thirty to forty singers, performing a wide range of literature from chant to modern music with a distinct blend of artistry and ministry. The Choir performs several major concerts each semester, notably our traditional Christmas Concert and the Choir's own Fall and Spring concerts, which generally involve a blend of choral masterworks and smaller gems of the repertoire, sometimes with student instrumental ensembles or professional orchestras.
The Choir is in its fourth performing season under the direction of Prof. Joshua Chai. The 2013-2014 performance season includes guest performances at several area churches, several concerts with orchestra, our beloved Christmas at Concordia concerts, a Valentine's concert and several other performance engagements throughout the semesters. Last May, the choir toured Germany and Austria, including performances in Berlin, Erfurt, and Salzburg.
Membership in the University Choir is open to all students regardless of major, MUS 1124. Auditions are required; please contact Prof. Chai for more information.

The Concordia Singers is a community choir that performs twice yearly with the choral department at CTX. Comprised of CTX faculty and staff, community members, and local musicians and church vocalists, the Concordia Singers generally performs in larger-scale concerts, particularly those with full orchestra or brass ensembles.
The Concordia Singers rehearses on Monday night, 7-9:30pm on campus in room B-227.
