Communication is central to how we play, watch, interpret and evaluate sports. In America, sports are played and seen almost everywhere. Teams are gathered. Events are organized, publicized, performed and analyzed. These events are often covered by communication professionals.
The Spring 2014 Communication travel course (COM 3398) will look at the Sport Communication Profession. By visiting people who cover the Express, Stars, Toros, Longhorns, Spurs, Rangers, Cowboys, Mavericks and Tornados we will get an in-depth look at the Sports Information profession.
