The Commencement Program

The Commencement program lists the names of all eligible candidates as provided by the Office of the Registrar at the time of publication. The inclusion or exclusion of a name in the program does not indicate completion or non-completion of degree requirements.

Students who do not wish to have their names listed in the program must contact the Office of the Registrar at 512.313.4643 or melanie.collins@concordia.edu no later than one month prior to the commencement service.

During the service

The commencement service is a formal occasion; therefore we ask that you refrain from standing in the aisles or using other distractions that might detract from the experience for others. Please turn off or mute the sound of all electronic devices. Telephone conversations are not permitted during the service. Disruptive behavior will result in being removed from the service.

Honors at Commencement

Four-year undergraduate students are eligible for graduation with honors. A student’s final GPA and appropriate Latin Honors will be posted on their final official transcript. However, Latin Honors at commencement is determined using the GPA at the end of the term preceding the commencement ceremony. Undergraduate students must also meet the sixty (60) hour residency requirement by the end of their final term.

Undergraduate students will receive their honor cords from the Concordia University Bookstore, while graduate students  receive honor cords or other regalia from the honor society to which they belong.

The wheelchair entrance to Riverbend Centre is on the east side of the building or on the right side of the building as you view it from Loop 360.
