Students who enter Concordia University Texas after fall 2013 must complete CIS 1300 Technology of the Digital Age.
CTX students who entered before fall 2013 must either successfully complete and pass CIS 1300 Technology of the Digital Age or pass the Computer Competency Exam as a requirement for graduation.
What's the difference between these two options?
Option 1: Successful completion of CIS 1300 Technology of the Digital Age
Students who opt to take the course receive 3 academic credit hours and fulfill the graduation requirement upon successful completion. Students may register for the course during registration periods prior to the start of each semester. Class sections fill very quickly, so be sure to register early!
Option 2: Successfully pass the Computer Competency Exam
For more information on this option, visit the School of Arts and Sciences website's Computer Competency Exam page.
