Registration Tutorial

Online Registration Tutorial (PDF)

Returning students may register online through MyInfo during the designated registration period. Students will need their Student I.D. number and, for some colleges, their PIN login code.  If you do not remember your I.D. number, contact Student Central or your Student Support Coordinator and, with proper identification, they will be able to provide you with your assigned I.D. number.  If your college requires an alternate PIN,you must contact your Academic Advisor.  If a class no longer appears on the live schedule, the course is full.

  • If an alternate PIN is required, you must have it before trying to register.
  • Students may view textbook selection, cost, and ISBN number prior to actual registration through MyInfo.

Academic Advising

What is Academic Advising?

It is our belief that Academic Advising is a very important part of a college education. The advisors at Concordia are here to help our students have a satisfying academic experience and to encourage them to use the resources available to them on campus. Academic Advising will provide the student will the tools and suggestions needed to make well thought out informed decisions regarding their academic career.  For colleges that require alternate Personal Identification Numbers (PINs), your academic advisor will provide that number for you.  If you do not know who your Academic Advisor is, contact Student Central or your Student Support Coordinator.  They will be able to provide you with that information.

Below are some helpful hints to make advising work for you.

  • Give thoughtful consideration to your academic and career goals
  • Make appointments and initiate contact with your advisor
  • Prepare a written list of questions before you meet with your advisor
  • Actively participate in planning your academic program and course scheduling
  • Know the Academic Calendar
  • Do not miss deadlines
  • Schedule courses that meet your educational goals and degree requirements
  • Accept responsibility for making final decisions regarding your academic choices
Calculating Major GPA

How to Calculate your Major GPA

Step 1:  Determine which courses on your transcript are required in your major

Step 2:  On your transcript, you will find your grade for each course converted into points. This number is to the immediate right of your grade. Add the total number of points for all of the courses required in your major.

Step 3:  Add up the total number of credits for the courses required in your major. You will find this number to the immediate left of your grade.

Step 4:  Divide.

ACCT 3111 3.00 B 9.00
ACCT 3211 3.00 C 6.00
BIOL 1021 4.00 A 16.00
Total Points / Total Credits = MGPA

31.00 / 10.00 = 3.10

Your Major GPA is 3.10.
Waitlist Information

Adding your name to a waitlist:

When you register for courses and you run into a closed class, you are able to add your name to a waitlist for that class up to the Friday before the term begins. If space becomes available, you, the student, will be notified via your CTX email account and you will have up to forty-eight hours to register for the waitlisted course.

A waitlist status does NOT mean that you are registered for the course.  You will not be billed for a waitlisted course and may remove yourself from the waitlist at any time by changing your course status from ‘Waitlist’ to ‘Drop’ online in MyInfo. For more information on the process click here.
