Candidates for the Texas Principal certificate must:
- Hold a master's degree
- Hold a valid classroom teaching certificate
- Have a minimum of two full creditable years of classroom teaching experience in a K-12 school as defined by the district record
- Successfully complete a principal preparation program
- Obtain permission from Concordia to sit for the Texas principal certification exam

Upon completion of the program, students will be ready to pass the Special Education certification exam in the state of Texas, which allows teachers to begin their career in special education and have a profound impact on students.
