The Concordia MBA program provides students with specific skills in accounting, finance, economics, marketing, and business strategy, while allowing them to hone leadership skills so that they may make a positive difference in the workplace and beyond.
The Concordia MBA Curriculum consists of 36 semester hours of course work. The MBA curriculum covers a balance of core business concepts, leadership and organizational development. During the course of your studies, you will analyze case studies, complete practical projects, reflect on your own leadership, and challenge and support your fellow cohort members.
The Concentrations offered in the MBA program are Heath Care Administration (HCA), Organizational Development and Learning (ODL) and School Finance and Operations (SFO). These concentrations add 6 semester hours to the timeline of the MBA. To learn more, visit the MBA Concentration FAQ
You'll attend class one evening per week for 4 hours. The class evening will be divided into two parts, with the first class meeting from 6-8pm and the second from 8-10pm each week. The program is designed in an accelerated format in order to allow you to complete the program in two years. Expect an intense, learning filled evening!
Between classes, you should expect to spend 10-15 hours each week studying, preparing assignments and collaborating with your learning team.
Preparation includes reading, online work, learning team participation, projects, and case study analysis.
We've designed the schedule so that you can re-charge between semesters with either a learning sabbatical week or a vacation period. During the learning sabbatical weeks, classes will NOT meet and there will be no assignments due. Faculty will be available to meet with you by appointment. Our aim with the learning sabbatical is to give you a space for reflection and integration. Vacation periods (e.g. winter holidays) are just that - time off for you.
