Come Celebrate All Things Concordia at Concordia Crossing

Please join us for Concordia Crossing, our university's annual community celebration! With specialized programming for alumni, clergy, families, friends, and current and prospective students, this event is an opportunity to celebrate all things Concordia.

Our long and varied history - though filled with different mascots, locations, and generations - is one of faithful commitment to education, service, and God.

Concordia Crossing FAQs

1. Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are allowed on campus if on a leash, but not inside any buildings or in the preserve. Please note that almost all event activities will occur indoors.

2. Can I bring my kids?
Yes! We have special activities on Saturday just for kids.

3. Where can I stay overnight?
Please see the list of hotels in the area on the Hotels Info tab.

4. Where do I park?
Parking Lot C. When you arrive on campus, front gate workers will direct you.

5. How much does this event cost?
All events throughout the weekend are free. We just ask that you please register.

6. How do I register for Concordia Crossing?
You can register at the top of this page by clicking the "Register" button beginning January 1.

7. How can I find out more about the activities that will take place at Concordia Crossing?
Please click on the Detailed Agenda tab on this page to see details about each days activities (to be posted in August).

8. What food will be available?
Select meals will be provided on the following days:

Friday: Lunch will be provided for prospective students. Dinner will be provided for '68 and '80s alumni.

Saturday: Breakfast for clergy and spouses only. Lunch will be provided for everyone (Current students should use meal plan). Dinner is available by attending Celebrate Concordia.

For all other meals throughout the weekend the on campus dining hall will be open with buffet meals available to purchase on your own. The hours of the dining hall are as follows:

Monday - Friday: 7-10 AM, 11 AM - 1:30 PM, 4:30-6 PM

Saturday - Sunday: 11 AM - 2 PM, 3-6 PM (Saturday brunch hours may be closed due to other catered food on campus.)

9. Where do I go once I'm on campus?
Upon arrival, follow signs to park and then walk to check in at the Welcome Center in Building A. Signs will be posted to direct you to check in.

10. Are all activities mandatory?
No, none of the events are mandatory. 

11. Is the campus handicap accessible?

12. Is there still Homecoming and Family Weekend?
Yes, Homecoming and Family Weekend is now Concordia Crossing. The weekend has expanded and is more inclusive to join with other groups for this larger and broader weekend celebration. Certain events are tailored to specific audiences, but the majority of the weekend is open to all current and prospective students, families, alumni, and friends of the University!
