Homecoming and Family Weekend Events

CTX Photo Scavenger Hunt
Complete different photo challenges throughout Homecoming and Family Weekend to win vintage CTX swag! Some photos will incorporate places on campus, and others can be done at home or around Austin. So whether you are joining us for in-person or virtual events, everyone has a chance to win!

Preserve Tours
Every hour on the hour, tour groups will leave from the Student Center to see our beautiful nature preserve. For social distancing, groups will be limited to five people and it will be first come, first served.

Pluckers' Trivia
Enjoy some friendly competition and great wings from Pluckers! Trivia teams can be both in person and online. A trivia host from Pluckers will be coming to campus for a CTX round of questions! The winning team will receive Pluckers gift cards! Wings will be first come, first served, and they will be packaged in individual boxes.

Walk & Woosh
Make an impact by participating in Walk & Woosh, either in person or virtually! The funds raised by this effort will support two causes: the CTX Emergency Fund, which supports our students in need due to COVID-19, and building another well through our partnership with Water to Thrive. Join us on campus on Saturday, Oct. 24, or complete the 2.6 miles in your own neighborhood and send us a picture of you doing your best Walk & Woosh! Registration fees will get each registrant signed up for the walk and an event t-shirt!

CTX Basketball Showcase
Support our student-athletes by tuning in to watch our Concordia Basketball team compete in a friendly three-point shoot-out and dunk contest! While we are unable to have a normal fall sports season, our student-athletes are still practicing and coming together as a team. Show your Tornado pride by tuning in online. There will be opportunities to win prizes, and all of our Tornado swag will be discounted throughout the weekend at our online Concordia BSN Team Store!

Trunk or Treat Photo Op
We want to see your Halloween costumes! While trick or treating may be canceled, that doesn't mean we can't still have fun. Come out to the Res Hall parking lot and take pictures in front of themed booths! We will have pre-packaged goodie bags for you to take home.

Virtual Alumni Mixer
Connect with your fellow alumni, and learn how to make simple drinks with items already in your home! Join us from the comfort of your own home, and share stories of the good ole days. We will send out the recipes ahead of time so that everyone can make the drinks together.

Drive-In Movie
Park your car or bring a blanket and join us for a movie in the parking lot! What's a fall drive-in movie without a hot chocolate/apple cider bar and snacks?! Bring your own mug and get a warm beverage to enjoy while watching the movie!

Concordia Sunday!
Join us in the Chapel or online as we participate virtually in a worship service from Messiah Lutheran Church, Plano, TX.
