Get Into the Christmas Spirit the Austin Way
Sing-Along at Riverbend Church
Come and sing along to all of your favorite Christmas music featuring the Riverbend choir and orchestra. Rudolph, Frosty and Santa Claus might even show up for the fun.
The festivities begin Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
Go ice skating
We might not see snow again in Austin for another six years, (or ice!), but you can hit the roof of Whole Foods to imagine you are in a winter wonderland. Looking for a bigger rink? Check out Chaparral Ice.
Take in the Trail of Lights
Endure the lines (maybe get some doughnuts and hot cocoa for the wait) and check out the two million lights, the attractions and the displays that make the Austin Trail of Lights what it is.
Christmas in Georgetown
Willing to make the drive? Go to the Georgetown Square at 5 p.m. on Dec. 23 to remember the reason for the season. This is a great way to find the heart of Christmas. Enjoy a 45-minute service with familiar and upbeat songs and an inspirational message.
Ugly Christmas Sweater Goat Yoga
Ugly sweaters anyone? Mixed with yoga and goats, this might just be the experience you need to put some cheer in your life.
At 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, bring your own mat, your ugly sweater and NAAAH-Maste Goat Yoga will provide goats, pigs, cows and turkeys to accompany you during your yoga experience. Classes take place on the Tomlinson's field located at 908 East 49th 1/2 St. One class is held at 2 p.m. and the other starts at 3:15 p.m.
