CTX campus entrance

As part of the first-year experience, all incoming students at Concordia University Texas take the course Life & Leadership, and CTX is hosting four Life & Leadership Welcome sessions on Zoom. Designed for incoming freshmen and first-year transfer students, you can attend one session, all four or anything in between.

Although it's not mandatory for you to attend, this is an opportunity you don't want to miss. The Life & Leadership Welcome sessions are a great way for you to meet fellow students and faculty members and learn more about the Life & Leadership course. Plus, you'll get to ask questions and enjoy some fun games.

What Is Life & Leadership?

Life & Leadership is a course that all incoming freshmen and first-year transfers are required to take, and it's designed to help students successfully adjust to college life at CTX. In addition to learning about leadership, students will connect to the institution and engage in personal reflection.

Each Life & Leadership class is assigned to a CTX Tradition Team: the Dynamos, the 26ers, the Warblers or the Friesenhahns. The CTX Tradition Teams celebrate the nearly 94-year history of Concordia and its core values while helping students connect with one another and our alumni community.

While attendance isn't required, we highly encourage you to participate, and we invite you to join us for as many sessions as you would like. Check the sign-up sheet to which sessions your Life & Leadership instructor and friends will join.
