We are proud to announce that Victor Davila will be joining the Concordia University Texas team as the director of Sponsored Programs to help build and cultivate strategies that strengthen our portfolio of governmental and state grants.
His experience and heart to serve students makes him a great fit for CTX. His leadership will be a great addition to the Student Development and Enrollment Management department. And his experience will add depth to our Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) initiatives.
Victor brings nearly two decades of experience working with HSIs in Texas. For most of his career, he has worked as an HSI-Title V director and has been successful in acquiring funding from federal, state, and foundation entities.
He has led and implemented advising, career readiness, coaching, financial planning, learning student centers, student outreach, tutoring, and several other student success programs throughout his career.
A co-founding member of the Alliance of Hispanic Serving Institute of Educators (AHSIE), Victor served as the founding vice president. He volunteers his time to facilitate webinars and conference presentations on topics related to grant management, budget, leadership, and student success.
Victor’s passion for first-generation students led him to co-author a chapter in Dr. Gina Garcia’s book, “Hispanic Serving Institution in Practice, Defining 'Servingness' at HSIs.” He holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Texas A&I University.
