Open To: Junior High, Senior High, College Adults (13 years old and up) Youth under 13 are
allowed if accompanied by a parent.
Camp Restore suggests the ratio of 1 adult to every 4-5 youth.
Dates: Camp Restore serves the city year around! Summer dates fill up the fastest, so please call us with your dates so we can get you on the calendar!

Cost per person: $40 per night Sunday through Thursday, $25 per night Friday and Saturday + $25 (administrative fee). A typical week (Sunday night through Saturday morning) is $225 plus $25 admin fee.
Price includes lodging and meals at Camp Restore, project coordination, t-shirt, journal, and training materials. Cost does not include transportation.
Van rental is available upon request. We can rent 7 passenger minivans from Enterprise - please advise if you need these. Cost estimate per van is $700 per week.

Projects: Camp Restore sends volunteers to approximately 80 different community partners (Rescue Ranch, Senior Centers, churches, boys and girls clubs, etc.) so whatever your talent may be, we can find a way to use it to restore HOPE to the city of New Orleans. Student Ministry & Missions participants can also work with home owners who are trying to rebuild after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Check with your local Thrivent Rep to see if you can secure funding from the Care Abounds in Community Program.
CAN-DO Missions participants will stay at Camp Restore, a dormitory camp from the LCMS Southern District. Most groups check in at Camp Restore on Sunday evening and leave the next Saturday.
All volunteers going to Camp Restore MUST have health insurance and an updated tetanus
shot. Also, all youth must be at least 13 years old or accompanied by a parent.
Each team should plan to spend some time helping with housekeeping, meals, and maintenance at Camp Restore. Groups may want to take an afternoon off to see New Orleans.
