Concordia University Texas is currently searching for an Adjunct computer science Instructor to teach in our on-ground program.
This is a survey course in systems software that is largely concerned with operating systems. Such topics as process management, device management and memory management are covered, as are relevant issues associated with security and protection, networking and distributed operating systems. Course utilizes the classic text by Silberschatz, Gagne, and Galvin.
Minimum Educational and Professional Requirements:
- 18 graduate hours required in computer science
- Master’s degree or higher
- Teaching or work experience with some aspect of Operating System use/design, especially Unix (Linux)
- Experience in writing code interfacing with an O/S (preferably UNIX-based) API.
