Concordia University Texas is currently searching for an Adjunct (part-time) Instructor in Education to teach Science Methods for the Fall 2021 semester. This course prepares preservice teachers (ECE-6th grade) in research validated effective methods of science instruction including planning and delivering lessons. It is part of a practicum of four classes in which students meet twice a week with their professor and complete fieldwork one day a week (all day).
Minimum Educational and Professional Requirements:
- Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in science and instruction combined
- Preferred: Experience teaching elementary science; experience teaching science education (college level)
- This course is offered during the day (M/F 8:30-9:45)
- Professor observes each student teaching at their placement at least once
