Concordia University Texas is currently searching for an Adjunct (Part-Time) Instructor for Fall 2021 to teach freshman composition courses and virtually tutor student writers of all levels through the university’s Writing Center. Applicants must be available for a Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoon teaching schedule and must be willing to teach in a hybrid format (most students will be attending in-person with the possibility of a few attending virtually).
Educational and Professional Requirements
- Master’s Degree in English, Rhetoric and Composition, Literature, or a closely related field required. Terminal Ph.D. preferred.
- Higher education teaching experience or graduate coursework in postsecondary education, developmental education, or composition pedagogy required. Writing Center experience preferred.
- Strong commitment to teaching in a collaborative, participatory learning community in a Christian university setting required.
