Reports to: Senior Director College of Health Sciences
POSITION FUNCTIONS
- Supports students in the skillset development of common nursing procedures and interventions in skills lab.
- Supports students with the development of clinical judgment and critical thinking skills as they pertain to patient care.
- Assists students with study strategies and techniques that promote NCLEX success.
- Assists in the development and evaluation of tutoring material and services with the Academic Support Center.
- Collaborates with Nursing Administration and course faculty to identify at-risk students to create a plan to promote student success.
- Follows up with recently graduated students to support the transition and continued studying necessary between graduation and taking the NCLEX.
- Documents student engagement and collaborates with Nursing Administration to track at-risk students through program.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
- BSN
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience
- Experience in clinical teaching preferred
