Graphic Design Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Graphic Design Specialist works under the direction of the University's Creative Director and collaborates across departments to produce high-quality creative designs that align with Concordia University Texas brand guidelines for internal and external audiences. This is a part-time position.

POSITION FUNCTIONS  

  • Conceptualize, design, and implement creative graphics and content, for print and digital media
  • Develop and design layouts, including copy and images for enrollment marketing campaigns, digital ads, onsite promotional materials (banners, printed collateral), etc.
  • Create layouts and graphics for the University website and other social sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn
  • Update existing presentations and collateral; design new ones, create branded collateral for presentations and events
  • Assist communications and enrollment marketing teams with edits to digital asses (email, landing pages, content downloads)
  • Manage design revisions and approval of artwork and information accuracy

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Adobe Creative Cloud proficiency - mainly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel experience
  • A professional online portfolio that represents your work
  • Strong eye for design and typography
  • Experience creating social media and web graphics
  • Understanding of printing process and specifications
  • Creative thinking skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Associate's degree or higher in graphic design or related course of study
  • 2-4 years of experience in graphic design for a company or agency

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Periodically requires non-traditional work hours, including evening and weekend work
  • Sitting or standing at a computer five or more hours per day
  • Lifting up to 30 pounds
