POSITION SUMMARY 

This position develops content and distributes social media and print media to students promoting student jobs, internships, and career development events. This position assists with the planning and execution of VPD events.

POSITION FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare plans and implement event logistics and promotional tasks.
  • Create branded content for social media and print media for VPD.
  • Schedule social media on platforms such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite or Hub spot.
  • Post a minimum 1 tweet, 1 Instagram, and 1 Facebook every 3 days. Post 1 LinkedIn post per week.
  • Collaborate with CTX marketing and social media staff to brand and cross market digital and print media.
  • Distribute promotional content around campus and via mass email campaigns.
  • Ensure that all marketing campaigns function smoothly and are communicated through all available outlets and campus constituents.
  • Proofread all marketing materials for accuracy, spelling and grammar.
  • Mandatory attendance at weekly department meetings.
  • Attend majority of VPD events as an Ambassador of VPD, including assisting with registration and related activities so that events run smoothly.
  • Manage accuracy and timeliness of keeping marketing calendar up to date.
  • Assist Director with web editing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Superior technology skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and willingness and aptitude to learn new functionalities of technologies specific to the office, including Constant Contact, Canva, Eventbrite, Wordpress, web editing and Handshake.
  • Resourceful, quickly and efficiently connect students to the information that they need.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information and records.
  • Ability to interact with the public and represent the University with a polished professionalism.
  • High level of responsibility, including the ability to take initiative, be on time and complete tasks with a superior level of excellence.
