Position Summary
This is an on-campus administrative and research graduate assistant position providing clerical/ administrative and research academic support to the Program Chair of Global Public Health. Graduate assistant position will provide 19 work hours per week
Position Functions
- Organize documents, files and folders
- Help to organize meetings with faculty, administrators, internal and external stakeholders
- Schedule appointments with Student Academic Planners
- Work on administrative projects as needed
- Work on research projects as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Complete various projects as assigned
- Other duties as assigned

- Understanding of title iv and family educational rights and privacy act (FERPA) regulations and other regulatory issues relevant to position
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office including MS word, excel, power point, and outlook
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry and/or of global public health issues
- Ability to conduct research and review articles from academic journals
- Ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems
- Ability to handle calls and emails, and work well under pressure and during peak seasons
- Ability to navigate the internet and use common search engines (yahoo, msn, google, etc.)
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, manage administrative projects and multi-task
- Ability to operate a desktop computer (pc) or laptop and other standard office equipment (fax machine, copiers, printers, scanners, etc.)
- Ability to articulate and support CTX’s values and code of conduct and a demonstrated history of strong integrity and high moral character
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program at CTX
- Interest in global public health
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to bend, stoop, lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to sit or stand at a workstation per assigned work
- May be required to go to offsite visits with stakeholders
