Position Summary

The Junior Admissions Counselor (JAC) is responsible for assisting the Admissions team in the recruitment and enrollment of students, striving to provide each student the best experience possible.  Tasks and projects will be assigned by the Admission Leaders and will include calling prospective students, giving campus tours, and serving as an ambassador for Concordia at events and functions.  This position works primarily with our traditional students, but will also assist with our adult, online, and graduate audiences, as well as helping out with any other functions of the Admissions department.

Position Requirements

  • Serves as an ambassador for Concordia
  • Leads daily campus tours
  • Calls prospective students
  • Serves as an event staff person
  • Gives presentations to group visits
  • Completes data entry into the CRM database
  • Represents Concordia at college fairs and high school and church visits
  • Hosts prospective students during campus visits, including overnight guests in the residence halls
  • Mails postcards and letters to students
  • Serve as a receptionist to greet and assist visitors


  • Must be able to commit to work at least 15 hours per week in office during Concordia’s business hours and work for a minimum for 3 hours each shift
  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Able to learn new processes and computer software and databases
  • Able to dress in business/professional attire and operate in a professional work manner and setting
