The Campus Climate Response Team (CCRT) serves as a university-wide strategy resource team that develops and facilitates the implementation of appropriate responses to campus climate incidents impacting the campus community. The core functions of the CCRT include:
- Gathering information about and managing specific incidents
- Supporting all individuals involved with incidents
- Providing appropriate and effective education
- Connecting with services and resources
- Evaluating the response process
In addition, through the work of the CCRT, potential gaps in policies and procedures that may impede the university’s ability to minimize campus climate incidents may be addressed, increasing the likelihood of creating a more welcoming and inclusive environment.
The membership of the team includes faculty and staff representation from a range of cross-functional areas within the campus community. Depending upon the campus climate incident, representatives from team as well as other university offices and departments will be included in the process of resolving a particular incident.

If so, please submit your concerns using the online Incident Reporting Form to the Campus Climate Response Team.
Students who wish to discuss an incident report are encouraged to schedule an appointment with the Dean of Students at 512-313-4310.
Employees who wish to discuss an incident report are encouraged to schedule an appointment with the Director of Human Resources at 512-313-4412.
Anyone encountering a situation that requires immediate emergency services should call 911 or the Campus Police Department at 512-313-3311 for assistance.
Incident Reports will be acknowledged within two business days of receipt.
Things to consider when reporting a campus climate incident:
- Report campus climate incidents as soon as possible.
- Provide facts in as much detail as possible, including the date, time and location of the incident.
- Describe what happened (comments, gestures, markings, physical injuries, property damage, etc.).
- Identify alleged offender(s) by full name, if known, or by physical appearance (approximate age, height, weight, race/ethnicity, clothing, distinguishing characteristics, etc.) if identity is unknown.
- List any possible witness(es) by full name with contact information if known, or indicate whether there were any witnesses if contact details are unknown.

Why should I report a campus climate incident?
Concordia University Texas is committed to addressing incidents that impact our campus climate, especially those that are bias-related. Your assistance in bringing these incidents to our attention will enhance our ability to systematically identify and respond to such events.
How do I report a campus climate incident?
Campus climate incidents should be reported as soon as possible after their occurrence via the online incident reporting form.
What will happen to my report form?
Once a report is filed, the CCRT Lead Team members will follow standard intake procedures to determine whether the situation, as reported, falls within the parameters of a campus climate incident or whether the incident should be referred to a more appropriate campus entity.
If it is determined that the situation would best be managed by an entity other than the CCRT, CCRT Lead Team members will address, partner and/or refer the incident appropriately.
If it is determined that the situation is best managed by the CCRT, a meeting will be organized, and the CCRT will evaluate the incident in terms of providing:
- Support and resources to targeted student(s), staff, and faculty
- Support and resources to student(s), staff or faculty who initiated the incident
- Education, awareness, and information for impacted student(s), staff, and faculty
Is it possible to remain anonymous?
Anonymous reports will be accepted. However, in many cases, a more effective response to a campus climate incident can be developed if university officials have the opportunity to ask follow-up questions if necessary.
Will my conversation be confidential?
All reports will be kept confidential to the extent possible. If we receive information requesting no further action, please be aware that we do have a legal obligation to respond institutionally to situations that may threaten the safety of the campus community or potentially violate University policy.
