Our Mission

The mission of the School of Nursing is to develop each nursing students ability to serve as a Christian leader in professional and/or advanced nursing practice, promoting high-quality, safe patient/client care within diverse healthcare settings.

Nursing School Approval

Our School of Nursing is approved by the Texas Board of Nursing (BON), a state entity that provides approval for more than 200 nursing education programs. Established in 1909, the mission of the Texas BON is to protect the public from unsafe nursing practices.

Nursing Program Accreditation

Concordia University Texas baccalaureate degree in nursing and master's degree in nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. (http://www.aacn.nche.edu/ccne-accreditation)

The School of Nursing will be hosting an on-site Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation review visit from November 1, 2017 to November 3, 2017 for both the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and the Master of Science in Nursing Programs. As a member of the community of interest, I would like to invite you to make written comments concerning the program's qualifications for accreditation status.
