Concordia University Texas is hosting Explore CTX: Virtual Edition, which is an online campus preview event that allows you to experience CTX from the comfort of your own home. We invite you and your family to attend. Hear from current students, get your questions answered and learn more about starting your life-changing adventure at Concordia University Texas.

When & Where?

Explore CTX: Virtual Edition is on Thursday, May 21, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Each activity will be hosted via Zoom, a video conferencing platform that you can access in your browser or through an app you can download on your PC, Mac or mobile device.

Once you sign up for Zoom, your web browser should automatically download the app to your computer when you begin your first meeting. You can also download Zoom manually.

What to Expect

We've designed Explore CTX: Virtual Edition to help you get the most out of your experience.

After welcoming everyone to the event and a brief explanation of the schedule at 4 p.m., the sessions will begin at 4:30 p.m. The event includes multiple fireside chats, where CTX staff and students will discuss all things related to Concordia and answer any questions you or your parents have.

4:30 p.m.

The afternoon begins with three different sessions:

  • Be A Tornado Webinar (for those new to CTX)
  • Transferability Webinar (for those looking to transfer to CTX)
  • Admitted Student Next Steps (for those who have been admitted to CTX)

5 p.m.

There are four different sessions in which you can participate:

  • Life & Leadership Mock Class (virtual class with CTX professor)
  • Fireside Chat: Gen1 (for first-generation students and their families)
  • Fireside Chat: Q&A with Current Students (CTX students share experiences and answer your questions)
  • Financial Aid at CTX (help with all things financial aid)

5:30 p.m.

Four fireside chats will occur from 5:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.:

  • Fireside Chat: Parents of Prospective CTX Students (Parents of prospective students can ask Dr. Don Christian, president, and Dr. Kristi Kirk, provost, questions)
  • Fireside Chat: Student-Athletes (Current CTX student-athletes share experiences and answer your questions about being a Concordia Tornado athlete)
  • Fireside Chat: Student Life (Current CTX student shares about music and arts on campus)
  • Fireside Chat: Environmental Stewardship

6 p.m.

At 6 p.m., join us for Jackbox TV games.

One-on-One Meeting with Admissions Counselor

We also invite you and your family to schedule a one-on-one meeting with your CTX admissions counselor on Thursday, May 21, before or during Explore CTX.
