Located directly behind HEB is Target, one of the top 10 US Retail stores. If you are looking for some decorations, furniture, school supplies, and beauty products on a budget, then a trip to Target might be a great start.

Here is some even better news. Beginning in Spring 2026, Concordia Texas’ Service-Learning department launched a program offering free rides to nearby grocery stores. Students can simply scan a Service Learning QR code found on campus, fill & submit the request form, and a student from their team will be reaching out to you to coordinate your go and return transportation.

That's one of the advantages of attending college in Austin, where students have access to a wide variety of dining experiences ranging from national chains to local favorites.

If you’re into food adventures, you will have the opportunity to explore Tex-Mex cuisine at nearby restaurants such as Chipotle and Taco Bell. In the same area students will find Panda Express that serves American Chinese dishes.

One of the fun parts of being a student at Concordia University Texas is having nearby food spots that run 24/7 just in case you have some late-night cravings. Right across the street from Concordia, you will find Whataburger. At Black Rock, every Tuesday our students get an exclusive discount on any medium coffee drinks or large fuels. Black Rock Coffee Bar has also become a popular spot in Austin to have study sessions and hangouts.

Coffee shops often become informal study spaces for college students, and both Starbucks and Black Rock provide convenient locations for meeting classmates, studying, or taking a break between classes.
