What Is Concordia's Week Of Welcome?

Week of Welcome (WOW) is designed to connect Concordia's students to life on campus. It's a way the University helps students feel at home.

While some events are designed specifically for incoming freshmen, we invite all students to join us at the events throughout the week.

What Are The WOW Events?

Scattered throughout the first week of school, you have the opportunity to participate in a range of events. There's something for everyone to enjoy!

Check out some of these highlighted events.

Welcome Party

Start the year off right with free food, prizes, and the opportunity to talk with Concordia's student organizations and local businesses.

There will be music, games, and plenty of chances to win free goodies. Grab your friends and meet new ones at the event that launches WOW.

Family Picnic

Join the Concordia community for an outdoor picnic. Please feel free to invite your family and friends!

You can enjoy the sights and sounds of nature on the beautiful campus while connecting with others over scrumptious food.

Games & Movie Night

The lobby in one of our residence halls transforms into a movie theater and the ultimate destination for games.

Pluckers Trivia

Put your trivia skills to the test while enjoying some delicious wings together.

Coffee & Community

Hosted by Student Activities, Coffee and Community occurs after chapel in the Welcome Center. It's a chance for you to talk with classmates and professors, enjoy snacks (and coffee, of course!), and take a break.

FLUNCH

Many of Concordia's students are commuters, so we provide a free lunch (aka "FLUNCH") for them during the week. If you commute to campus, drop by for a free meal!

It's one less meal you have to worry about during a busy first week of school.

Who's Invited To WOW?

Everyone. All CTX students, faculty, staff, and their families are invited to join us for the festivities!

Why Should I Attend A WOW Event?

Whether you're beginning your first semester at Concordia or your last, WOW offers you a wonderful opportunity to catch up with friends, meet new classmates, talk with your professors, and be engaged in the CTX community.

While your attendance at WOW events isn't required, we strongly encourage you to join in the fun.
