Welcome to the Concordia University Texas Scheduling & Events Office

Looking for an impressive event space? Host your event on the beautiful Concordia University Texas campus with its breathtaking views. The campus is located on the edge of the Texas Hill Country in Northwest Austin on 389 acres, 250 of which are part of the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve.

The CTX campus offers a range of rental spaces, including the Luther Annex, auditorium, Black Box Theater, athletic facilities, Computer Lab, classrooms, conference rooms and outdoor event space.

COVID Response

Concordia University Texas continues to monitor recent developments of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The university is evaluating the best steps to ensure the health and safety of our community with as little disruption as possible to the lives of students, employees and our community partners. We are taking the following steps to ensure our facilities are safe and clean. 

  • The CTX Office of Emergency Management (OEM) monitors the evolving situation and coordinates closely with local and state health and public safety agencies, as well as local government, schools and universities. OEM holds regular meetings with CTX administrators and stakeholders throughout the institution to assist in preparation, prevention, response, mitigation and recovery efforts.
  • CTX continues distributing hand sanitizing supplies, and sanitizing common surfaces regularly.
  • The University posts reminders about washing hands and signage about healthy habits to help prevent viruses from spreading.
  • CTX custodial crews sanitize facilities day and night, including high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handles and computer keyboards in labs. 
  • CTX created hand sanitizing stations and placed them throughout campus. 
  • The University is in contact and coordinating with Austin Public Health (APH) to respond appropriately if needed.

Facility Guidelines

  • No smoking or electronic smoking devices on the CTX campus, including dorm rooms
  • No alcohol allowed on campus or in dorm rooms
  • No food or drinks allowed within the auditorium
  • Classrooms may be in different buildings/locations on campus based on availability
  • Rooms may have either blackboard and/or whiteboard; group must supply writing instruments
  • Event Rooms/dorm rooms may be adjacent to other groups/programs, and excessive noise, running, yelling, etc. is not allowed
  • Hoverboards not allowed on the CTX Campus
  • Meeting rooms/classrooms are on a reservation basis

Note: If a group/program is found using additional spaces not reserved, they will be charged for the day. Groups must only use the lounges within the residential halls on the buildings/floors that they are assigned to. Meeting room charges will apply if additional lounges/floors are used without prior approval.

  • Field space may be available to rent, but not guaranteed

Note: A group may request to rent a field during their stay if it is available during the dates and times requested. Please contact the Scheduling and Events office for gym or field availability.

  • Group leaders responsible for communicating these guidelines to all participants
