Your total scholarship amount is based on the number of eligible credit hours in which you are enrolled. The scholarship can continue through degree completion as long as you maintain eligibility and enroll in at least nine credit hours during each applicable term.

How much could I save?
Your savings depend on the number of credit hours in which you enroll.
You could save:
- $1,800 when you enroll in nine credit hours $2,400 when you enroll in 12 credit hours
- The scholarship amount will be recalculated if you add or drop credit hours.

Do I need to submit a separate scholarship application?
No. The Start Now Scholarship is awarded automatically to eligible students who are accepted, commit by the applicable deadline, and enroll in at least nine credit hours.

What are the scholarship deadlines?
Students beginning in Fall 1 2026 must be accepted and commit to enroll by August 15, 2026.

How many credit hours do I need to take?
You must enroll in at least nine eligible online undergraduate credit hours during each applicable term to receive the scholarship.
If your enrollment falls below nine credit hours, the scholarship will be removed for that term.

Is the scholarship renewable?
Yes. The scholarship is renewable through degree completion as long as you:
- Remain enrolled in an eligible Concordia Texas online undergraduate program
- Enroll in at least nine credit hours during each applicable term
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress
- Continue meeting University and financial aid eligibility requirements

Do I need to complete the FAFSA?
You do not need to complete the FAFSA to receive the Start Now Scholarship.
However, Concordia Texas encourages you to submit the FAFSA to determine whether you may qualify for federal grants or student loans that could help with your remaining educational expenses.

Can I combine the scholarship with other financial aid?
The scholarship may be combined with the Federal Pell Grant and federal student loans when you are eligible.
