First-Time Freshman Cost and Financial Aid

Merit-based scholarships are granted to students for academic achievements. There is no separate scholarship application to complete. Your application to the University is your application for merit scholarships. The merit scholarships are determined at the time of acceptance and are renewable each year for up to 4 years. Need-based scholarships are designed to bridge the financial gap for students whose circumstances might otherwise prevent them from affording college, providing vital assistance to those facing financial challenges or hardship.

Christian Leadership Scholarship

The Christian Leadership Scholarship recognizes students who have attended and graduated from a private Christian high school and who demonstrate a commitment to living out their faith through service, leadership, and scholarship. Qualifying students will receive a $1,250 scholarship renewable (up to 8 consecutive semesters) each academic year, and distributed at $625 per semester.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Graduate from a private Christian high school, verified through official transcripts or school documentation. 
• Apply and be admitted to Concordia University Texas as a first-time college student. 
• Maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA for initial consideration and renewal. 
• Enroll as a full-time undergraduate student (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester). 
• This stackable scholarship allows recipients to combine it with merit and need based scholarships for increased financial assistance. This scholarship can also be combined with select programatic scholarships. Contact your admissions counselor to learn more.

Concordia Texas Promise

High-achieving students from Travis, Williamson, and Hays counties with significant financial need may qualify for the Concordia Texas Promise. This scholarship covers the remaining cost of tuition after other federal and state aid are applied, helping make a Christ-centered education at Concordia University Texas more affordable and accessible.

Distinguished Scholar Award

The Concordia Texas Distinguished Scholar Award recognizes exceptional academic achievement and honors students who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to their studies. This prestigious scholarship supports students in achieving their educational aspirations at Concordia University Texas and encourages them to continue their academic success and leadership within the CTX community. Qualifying students will receive up to $10,000 per year (up to $5,000 per semester, summer semester excluded).

Eligibility Requirements:

• Be enrolled as a traditional undergraduate FTIC
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 to 4.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Submit the FAFSA to Concordia Texas.
• Be admitted and intend to enroll full-time (minimum 12 credit hours per semester, summer excluded).
• Complete a campus visit or participate in a Concordia Texas admissions event
• This stackable scholarship allows recipients to combine it with need based scholarships for increased financial assistance. This scholarship can also be combined with select programatic scholarships. Contact your admissions counselor to learn more.

Early Deposit Discount

The Early Deposit Discount encourages admitted first-time-in-college (FTIC) and transfer students to confirm their commitment to Concordia University Texas early by submitting their enrollment deposit by February 15 for the upcoming fall semester. This award recognizes students who take the next step in their college journey and supports their continued success throughout their undergraduate studies. Qualifying students will receive a one-time $1,000 scholarship distributed over four academic years at $125 per semester.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Be admitted to Concordia University Texas as a first-time-in-college (FTIC) or transfer student for the Fall 2026 semester.
• Submit your enrollment deposit by February 15, 2026.
• Enroll full-time (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester; summer excluded).
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress (SAP) to continue eligibility. 
• This stackable scholarship allows recipients to combine it with merit and need based scholarships for increased financial assistance. This scholarship can also be combined with select programatic scholarships. Contact your admissions counselor to learn more.

ESports Award

This scholarship is exclusively available to students who are recruited as Esports athletes. The scholarship is $250 each year, which is distributed as $125 in the fall semester and $125 in the spring semester.

Excellence Award

The Concordia Texas Excellence Award is a competitive scholarship recognizing and supporting high-achieving incoming and transfer Computer Science majors. Designed to attract top students to Concordia University Texas’s on-ground Computer Science program, this award encourages innovation, leadership, and academic excellence in one of today’s fastest-growing fields. Two students are awarded annually, reflecting the University’s commitment to preparing Christ-centered leaders in technology and applied sciences. Qualifying students must complete a separate scholarship application. Selected students will receive one-time scholarship up to $10,000 (up to $2,500 per year, distributed at $1,250 per semester for four years).

Eligibility Requirements:

• Be accepted as a traditional undergraduate FTIC or transfer student at Concordia University Texas.
• Enroll full-time (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester, summer excluded).
• Maintain a declared major in Computer Science (on-ground program only; online students are not eligible).
• Meet the following GPA requirements:
  • Minimum unweighted high school GPA of 3.5.
• Submit a FAFSA to Concordia Texas.
• Complete a campus visit or participate in a Concordia Texas admissions event
• Complete the Concordia Texas Excellence Award application through the CTX Scholarship Portal.
• This scholarship may be combined up to the cost of tuition with merit or need based scholarships, and select programatic scholarships. Contact your admissions counselor to learn more.

Family Savings Plan

At Concordia University Texas, we recognize that choosing a college is a family decision—and we want to make it easier for families with multiple students attending Concordia Texas at the same time. The Concordia Texas Family Member Savings Plan provides a built-in tuition discount to traditional undergraduate students when two or more family members are enrolled full-time in undergraduate and/or graduate programs. This program reinforces Concordia Texas's commitment to affordability, accessibility, and fostering lifelong connections to the University. Qualifying students will receive a $3,750 per year tuition discount for each additional family member enrolled full-time.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Apply and be accepted to Concordia University Texas.
• Belong to the same immediate family household
• Have two or more family members enrolled full-time at Concordia University Texas during the same academic term.
• Be enrolled full-time in a traditional undergraduate program
• Maintain academic eligibility as defined by University policy.
• Notify their admissions counselor to confirm eligibility.
• This scholarship may be combined up to the cost of tuition with merit or need based scholarships, and select programatic scholarships. Contact your admissions counselor to learn more.

Honors Program

Students accepted into the Honors Program will receive a scholarship of $500 per year for two years distributed as $250 in the fall semester and $250 in the spring semester. This scholarship is designed to recognize and support academic excellence within our Honors Program.

• This scholarship is exclusively available to traditional undergraduate freshmen students during their first two years at Concordia Texas.

IDEA Public Schools Scholarship

This scholarship is exclusively available to students who have attended and graduated from an IDEA Public School and who demonstrate a commitment to leadership, service, and excellence. Qualifying students will receive a $1,250 scholarship renewable (up to 8 consecutive semesters) each academic year, and distributed at $625 per semester.

Eligability Requirements:

• Graduate from an IDEA Public School, verified through official transcripts or school documentation. 
• Apply and be admitted to Concordia University Texas as a first-time college student. 
• Maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA for initial consideration. 
• Enroll as a full-time undergraduate student (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester). 
• This stackable scholarship allows recipients to combine it with merit and need based scholarships for increased financial assistance. This scholarship can also be combined with select programatic scholarships. Contact your admissions counselor to learn more.

Music Student Award

The scholarship is granted to selected students who are actively involved in and registered for University Singers (Choir Ensemble) and Symphonic Winds (Band Ensemble). It is not restricted to music majors and is awarded at the discretion of the Music Program Coordinator. The scholarship amounts to $250 annually, distributed as $125 in the fall semester and $125 in the spring semester.

• Eligible students must be enrolled full-time, maintain satisfactory academic progress, and can receive this scholarship each year throughout their undergraduate program, for a maximum of four years.
• This scholarship is stackable, allowing recipients to combine it with other scholarships for enhanced financial support.
• Students are eligible to receive the scholarship yearly, but it is NOT guaranteed. It is re-awarded yearly at the discretion of the Music Program Coordinator.

National Decision Day Bonus

The National Decision Day Bonus is a special scholarship designed to celebrate and reward students who demonstrate their commitment to Concordia University Texas by attending the annual National Decision Day event and submitting their enrollment deposit. This award reinforces the value of early engagement and helps students take the next step toward becoming part of the Concordia Texas community. Qualifying students will receive a one time $500 scholarship for their first-year, distributed at $250 in the Fall semester and $250 in the Sping semester.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Be admitted to Concordia University Texas as a first-time-in-college (FTIC) for the Fall 2026 semester.
• Attend National Decision Day on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
• Submit their enrollment deposit by May 15, 2026.
• Enroll full-time (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester, summer excluded).
• Submit a FAFSA or TASFA to Concordia Texas.
• This scholarship may be combined with merit or need based scholarships, and select programatic scholarships. Contact your admissions counselor to learn more.

Trailblazers Program

Students accepted into the Trailblazers Program will receive a scholarship of $750 distributed as $375 in their first spring semester and $375 in their second fall semester. Talk to your admissions counselor to find out if you are eligible.
