  • Registration Process

Returning students may register online through MyInfo during the designated registration period. Students will need their Student I.D. number and, for some degree programs, their Alternative PIN code. If you do not remember your I.D. number, contact Student Central or your Student Academic Planner and, with proper identification, they will be able to provide you with your assigned I.D. number. If your degree program requires an alternate PIN, you must contact your Student Academic Planner or Faculty Advisor before registering.

  • Waitlist Information

When you register for courses and you run into a closed class, you are able to add your name to a waitlist for that class up to the Friday before the term begins. If space becomes available, you, the student, will be notified via your CTX email account and you will have up to forty-eight hours to register for the waitlisted course.

A waitlist status does NOT mean that you are registered for the course. You will not be billed for a waitlisted course and may remove yourself from the waitlist at any time by changing your course status from Waitlist to Drop online in MyInfo. For more information on the process click here.

  • Calculating Major GPA

Step 1: Determine which courses on your transcript are required in your major

Step 2: On your transcript, you will find your grade for each course converted into points. This number is to the immediate right of your grade. Add the total number of points for all of the courses required in your major. In the example below, the total is 31 (9+6+16)

Step 3: Add up the total number of credits for the courses required in your major. You will find this number to the immediate left of your grade. In the example below, the total number of credits is 10 (3+3+4).

Step 4: Divide the total number of credits by the total number of hours.

    Example:
    ACCT 3111 3.00 B 9.00
    ACCT 3211 3.00 C 6.00
    BIOL 1021 4.00 A 16.00
          31.00
Total Points / Total Credits = MGPA

    31.00 / 10.00 = 3.10

    Your Major GPA is 3.10.
